Seattle Nov 11-12

With the long weekend, and the high Canadian dollar, Jim and I thought that it would be a good idea to head south of the boarder. We had to go to Vancouver to pick up tile for Jim's house renovations, and tied it in with a Sonic's basketball game, an underground tour of Seattle's original ground level (121 feet below the current surface), and a trip to REI. The walking around the city centre was entertaining and exciting. We visited the fish market at the Pike St Market and saw the fish mongers tossing full 20 pound salmon at one another. There was a lot of energy amongst the mongers, and great accuracy when they were hurling the fish 25 feet across the market to their partner. We stayed at what i thought was a great Hostel. Jim however would disagree. Since I sleep with ear plugs I missed the whole event, but according to Jim, our roommates decided to full on fight in the middle of night, with one of them threatening to kill the other simply for snoring. We don't think that they knew each other. I slept like a baby, while Jim stayed up all night fearing for his life.
