The ski hills are closed, sun is shining, and snow still on the banks of the river. Five of us brave souls (Terry, Doug, Jason L, Chris C, and I) headed to the Shushwap River (the Chucks as it will be referred to for the rest of the season) and got our river legs.22 degrees was the forecast for the day, but we knew the river would be cold. I wore 2 wetsuits and a dry top and was still anticipating being cold. I was wrong. I had to do rolls throughout our run to cool off! The water level was low (2.4 ft), the fun was high, and the energy was electric! All in all, we had a great day surfing some small waves, doing some endos and reading the river currents.
